Roses may be red, but Rose Water is skincare GOLD!

Updated: Sep 26, 2023

What is Rose Water?

Rosewater (also known as Rose Flower Water or Rose Hydrosol) is the resulting liquid that is created from simmering or distilling roses. The petals of the rose create a light fragrance and release natural properties that help alleviate many ailments.

This special ingredient has been used for centuries in a variety of ways. For example, rose water can be used in cooking as a flavor enhancer, or as a remedy for digestive issues like bloating and upset stomach. It has also been used to help enhance mood and calm anxiety, as well as help recover from colds and the flu.

How does Rose Water help the skin?

Rosewater is incredibly versatile and can be used on a variety of skin types. It is most well known for its benefits in aromatherapy and skin/hair enhancing benefits. Whether your skin is oily, dry, sensitive, or a combination - rose water can be very beneficial to use! It contains anti-inflammatory properties that help to reduce redness and inflammation caused by various skin conditions and antioxidants that help restore and rejuvenate the skin. Because it also acts as a toner on the skin, it can help reduce redness, soothe irritation, and can tighten and help clean out enlarged pores.

Why should you add Rose Water to your Beauty Routine?

The benefits of using rose water for the skin are pretty amazing. While it cleanses and moisturizes, it also helps to strengthen and regenerate skin cells. Rosewater is a pretty powerful elixir that not only will refresh your skin but will also work to heal it.

Hawaiian Healing Skin Care realizes the importance of using organic ingredients that were created by nature to provide your skin with the nourishment it needs. Knowing this, we have added the Rose Water/Hydrosol to two of our skincare products, our Revitalizing Face and Body Cream, as well as our Under Eye Serum.
